Two at a time.

I've been back to work for the last 2 weeks and have been finding hobby time a bit tighter, but i did spend a couple of hours yesterday finishing off these two guys.

Now that my fighting army is 95% basic painted, i have been struggling to get the motivation to get groups of 5 or 10 models finished off properly. Thankfully James at the club said to try "2 at a time" and i had a enjoyable couple of hours lavashing attention on these 2 yesterday.

I've not done any squad markings or Raptor logo as i'm going to leave that until another time but i think that is the only real finishing needed now.

I am also going to need to practice on the Plasma chamber as i'm not happy with this one although i do want a glowing green core with red crusting effect!, any ideas on how best to achieve it?

While I don't have any particular ideas for the plasma gun, you're friend gave you some good advice. I was having trouble working through 10 man tactical squads, but had no trouble with 4 blood bowl players. I think I will be painting by combat squad from now on.

Great work! 2 by 2 is a great idea to keep motivated. I love the Combat Shield Vet...the dents on the shield look great.

As for the core, I think it looks pretty darn good. Maybe 1 more green highlight just on the edges to achieve that glow? I'll admit I'm not the best at plasma effects though!

Well done, brother. Certainly a good way to prevent 'color scheme burn-out'.

They look great!

How's it going? Cantor Base has ditched his Raptors for his first love Crimson Fists, so you are the only Raptor painter again!

Very nice. I really like your SM army. Might I make a request to see an over all picture of the army? :)
